COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Dry weather continues another day before showers and storms, some strong, return to the forecast. First Alert Weather Days are slated for Sunday and Monday.

After a mild start to the day, temperatures warm back to around 80 degrees for the Midlands. As moisture begins to gradually increase across the region, we’ll see more clouds mixed in with the sunshine compared to yesterday.

Despite more clouds, we stay dry until Sunday. First Alert Weather Days have been issued for Sunday and Monday. While some thunder and locally heavy rain is possible Sunday, there’s a potential for a few storms to become severe on Monday.

As far as timing, rain chances begin to increase for the Midlands Sunday afternoon.
