Local high school students team up with non-profit to make a change

IRMO, S.C. (WACH) — A group of Irmo High School students from the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) teamed up with Emmanuwheel, a local non-profit, to build a wheelchair ramp for a family member with mobility challenges.

The students volunteered their Saturday afternoon to work alongside Emmanuwheel volunteers, using their skills and teamwork to create a safe and functional ramp.

The improvement will help the family navigate their home more easily…
