They opened fire in a crowded mall. Now, the third and final gunman is headed to prison for decades.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A third suspect has been sentenced to decades in prison for his role in the 2022 Easter weekend shooting at Columbiana Centre that wounded several innocent shoppers.

Judge Walton J. McLeod IV announced a 30-year sentence for Marquise Robinson for the shooting, which happened on April 16 and left nine people wounded by gunfire – none of whom were in any way involved in the incident that preceded it.

Robinson was the last suspect directly tied to the incident, which erupted between him, 25-year-old Jewayne Price, and 24-year-old Amari Smith. The 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said that the incident began when Price arrived at the mall with his girlfriend and Smith and Robinson arrived separately. Prosecutors said all three had concealed guns and entered through the main doors of the mall, passing signs warning that concealed weapons were prohibited…
