A heavy machinery supplier with deep roots in South Carolina has begun work on a new $65 million facility.
Blanchard Machinery Co., the exclusive Caterpillar dealer for South Carolina, held a groundbreaking ceremony recently to mark the beginning of construction on its new 150,000-square-foot facility at Sandy Run Industrial Park, according to a news release. The $65 million investment will support the company’s continued growth and create 30 new jobs.
Situated on more than 60 acres in Calhoun County, just minutes from the Interstate 26/Interstate 77 interchange, the new facility will focus on parts, service, component rebuilds and full machine rebuilds, the release stated.
