A popular Irmo Bakery was damaged yesterday after a car collided with the front of its store. The incident happened Thursday at the Lita’s Treats location on Lake Murray Blvd.
Reporting on the incident in a Facebook post on yesterday afternoon, the Irmo Police Department stated, “Earlier today, officers responded to Lita’s Treats after a vehicle made an unexpected entrance. Good news! Despite the close encounter, no injuries were reported. EMS did check on the driver (of the vehicle), who thankfully was okay. The explanation? A little mix-up between the “go” and “whoa” pedals. We’re just glad everyone is safe and Lita’s Treats will hopefully be back to serving up deliciousness soon!”…
