Heavy rain & flooding South Carolina North Carolina next several days as Gulf low moves northeast

Low pressure is sitting over the Gulf States and not moving very much but it is spreading waves of rain northward into the Southeastern US. This is setting up to be a very wet stretch of weather for at least the next 3 days from Sunday through Tuesday. Rain fell yesterday and an additional 3 to 5 inches of rain is forecast for much of Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. This opens the door for flash flooding and the Weather Prediction Center is indicating a “slight risk” (15 to 40% chance) for flash flooding across these three states .
