A South Carolina man was killed in a suspected kangaroo attack after allegedly entering the animal’s enclosure to “roughhouse” with it.
The Horry County Police Department said in a statement on Facebook that Eric Slate, 52, was “located within an enclosure with wallabies and kangaroos of varying ages.”
Police added that there were “a number of other animals at the incident location” and that all are accounted for and contained, with “no risk to the community.”
Police responded to 5-Star Farm, a petting zoo located off of Highway 746 near Loris on Friday evening, where they found the man deceased at the scene, with “multiple blunt injuries,” an autopsy report obtained by PEOPLE said…
