40 states see gas price decline; South Carolina among those benefiting from the trend

LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — The average price of gas in South Carolina has fallen in the past week despite oil prices jumping more than $4 per barrel, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,028 gas stations in South Carolina.

Monday’s report states that prices in the state have fallen 7.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging at about $2.66 per gallon Monday morning.

With this drop in prices, gas is reportedly 6.3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stands 50.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago…
