Toyota passenger dies after vehicle crosses several lanes upon exiting I-20 in Lexington

LEXINGTON, S.C. — Police say one person has died following a crash that happened as a vehicle was exiting the interstate in Lexington on Thursday.

The Lexington Police Department said the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. when a Toyota Scion exited I-20 Westbound at Exit 55. The vehicle then reportedly crossed multiple lanes of traffic and was struck by an outbound Acura in the 900 block of South Lake Drive.

Police said a passenger in the Toyota was taken to Lexington Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Police deferred to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office for the victim’s identity…
