COLUMBIA, S.C. — A new Trader Joe’s could be coming to the Columbia area.
Rumors have been circulating about the popular grocery chain possibly opening a store in the Harbison area. News19 spoke Wednesday to Irmo Town Councilman Gabriel Penfield to find out what’s really happening, who confirmed the chain is looking at a new location in Harbison.
“There’s permits been applied for, we don’t know yet if they’ve been approved,” Penfield said. “But there’s certainly a lot of excitement and enthusiasm about the project.”…
