Lexington County, S.C. (WACH) — Thursday morning a judge handed down a ten-year sentence to Joshua Yarborough after he got behind the wheel of a truck drunk in September 2023, killing Leeya Leaverette, 17, and her grandfather Cornelius Clory, 68. Clory’s wife survived the crash.
On September 15, just before 6 p.m., Yarborough left Henry’s Restaurant and Bar in Cayce with his friend. Yarborough side-swiped one car just before the intersection of 12th Street and B Avenue and then smashed into Clory and Leaverette’s car as they were sitting at a red light.
