RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Richland County is mailing notifications this week to property owners whose property values have changed by at least $1,000 ahead of the 2025 tax year. The notices, which are not tax bills, are being sent by the County Assessor’s Office beginning Wednesday, June 25.
Nearly 12,700 property owners will receive these updates, which reflect required assessments of taxable property at current market value.
Three primary factors may cause a property’s value to increase or decrease:
- An Assessable Transfer of Interest (ATI)
- New construction completed in 2024
- Physical changes, such as additions or renovations made in 2024
