S.C. Highway Patrol pushes Move Over Law after troopers nearly hit by car

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Two South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers came face to face with their worst fear, almost getting hit by a car while working on the side of the highway.

On June 14, a trooper was working a car crash on Interstate 77 when an oncoming car lost control and struck the guardrail, nearly hitting the trooper.

The trooper had to jump over the guardrail to avoid being struck by the car. The trooper was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries…
