BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. — Authorities say a charter bus carrying several children caught fire along I-77 on Friday. However, everyone got out safely.
Live maps from the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) showed mild to heavy traffic backups between the Wilson Boulevard and Blythewood Road overpasses around noon on Friday. SCDOT said a bus fire occurred along exit 24 southbound to U.S. 21 (Wilson Boulevard). The fire and emergency response closed the right exit ramp in the area.
