SC Forestry Commission extends state forest closure, continue search for 1 dog after another dead

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A dog that is believed to be involved in a recent attack at Harbison State Forest was shot and killed overnight, according to the SC Forestry Commission.

Officials say shortly before midnight on Monday, July 21, a relative of a homeowner who lives near the state forest shot one of the two dogs that he witnessed attacking the homeowner’s goats, three of which were killed.

The black dog has been confirmed as dead, and the brown dog, which may also have been shot, ran away…
