Enough fentanyl to kill 36 million people recovered in South Carolina, linked to Mexico

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — Enough fentanyl to kill more than 36 million people was seized by South Carolina law enforcement in what authorities say is the largest fentanyl bust in the state’s history.

Law enforcement agencies recovered 156 pounds of the deadly synthetic opioid during a coordinated operation earlier this month, federal and state officials announced Wednesday.
