An update on dog attacks at South Carolina State Forest

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – One of two dogs believed to be involved in recent reported attacks that closed Harbison State Forest was shot and killed.

The South Carolina Forestry Commission said it was a relative of a homeowner near the forest who shot a black dog after seeing it attack and kill the homeowner’s goats. The black dog was later confirmed to be one of the two involved in recent attacks.

Officials also said the second dog, believed to be brown, may have been shot in the incident before it ran away. SCFC said the homeowner also reported several more of their goats had been killed by the same two dogs…
