RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Richland County deputies are investigating a deadly shooting that left one person dead and another injured Sunday evening.
Deputies say they responded to reports of gunfire around 5:30 p.m. at the 1600 block of Devonwood Drive. While securing that area, dispatchers notified deputies of additional gunfire striking buildings at the 1600 block of Longcreek Drive and the nearby 1600 block of Grays Inn Road. Deputies say both scenes were secured and roped off as part of the investigation.
While deputies were still on scene at Longcreek Drive, updated information from dispatch led them to the 200 block of Bentley Court for a report of a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, deputies say they found a male victim with gunshot wounds to the upper body. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries…
