Federal funds for Helene aid in SC approved by HUD

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – South Carolina’s Office of Resilience’s Action Plan for spending over $150 million in grant funds to help those around the state affected by Hurricane Helene has been approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The full plan from the Office of Resilience identified $2.1 billion in unmet needs, with $1.7 billion identified for housing needs alone.
