Former SCDC nurse to be sentenced after pleading guilty to criminal conspiracy, providing contraband

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A former South Carolina Department of Corrections nurse is set to be sentenced Thursday at 3 p.m. after pleading guilty to providing contraband to prisoners at Broad River Correctional Institute.

Jameelah Khadijah Fortune was charged in August of 2024 with three counts of criminal conspiracy and three counts of providing contraband to prisoners.
