COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Authorities said a Midlands man accused of an assault will now see his charges upgraded after the victim died.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said Reginald Owens was arrested after an incident on Aug. 5 on Woodside Avenue.
RCSD said deputies responded and found Owens inside a home with EMS and the victim. He was detained as the victim was taken to a hospital with serious upper-body injuries.
