NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — Authorities arrested and charged a former town clerk and treasurer in Peak with embezzling more than $70,000 in public funds.
The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation after receiving a complaint about missing money from the town treasury.
