WACH — A series of small earthquakes shook across South Carolina and parts of the Midlands late Friday night into early Saturday morning, according to officials.
The strongest one reached a magnitude of 2.9, hitting near Coronaca in Greenwood County at 11:17 p.m. on Friday, approximately 64 miles west-northwest of Columbia. The quake had a reported depth of zero kilometers.
