Much Drier and Cooler To Close August

COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) — A cold front will make its way through the Midlands Sunday night. This will cut into the humidity and temps with high pressure building in. Needed dry weather steps up. So August will end pretty tame and far from the heat we saw during the dog days of summer. This will be our driest stretch since late July.

High temperatures will hover in the low to mid-80s, which is below the seasonal average for August. Overnight lows will dip into the low to mid-60s, and some spots could even flirt with the upper 50s by Wednesday night—a rare treat for this time of year in Columbia…
