COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) — On Labor Day, workers in the Midlands took to the streets of downtown Columbia to advocate for workers’ rights, despite less than 5% of South Carolina’s private workforce being unionized.
Union members and their allies marched to the State House, voicing concerns over what they describe as an attack on workers and a need to change the narrative surrounding worker treatment in the state.
