South Congaree Police Chief on medical leave after crash due to mini stroke

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — South Congaree Police Chief Steven Jonas was in a vehicle collision on Wednesday in Columbia.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol finished the investigation and said Chief Jonas experienced a transient ischemic attack (TIA), commonly known as a mini stroke, at the time of the collision.
