Columbia Police Treat Search for Missing Woman as Homicide-Level Investigation

COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – Police in Columbia have escalated their efforts to find 56-year-old Angela Fuller, a woman last seen in late August, saying the case is now being treated much like a homicide investigation.

Missing Since August 29

Fuller was last seen on August 29 in the 3000 block of North Beltline Boulevard, an area between Two Notch Road and Forest Drive. She was reported missing on September 1 by a loved one who had grown concerned after losing contact.

Authorities have not confirmed whether Fuller was alone at the time of her disappearance.

Search Intensifies

On Tuesday, officers searched more than 75 locations across Columbia, including vacant buildings and empty lots, as part of their expanded search for Fuller. Chief of Police Skip Holbrook said investigators are committed to bringing her home but acknowledged the direction of the case has shifted.
