Lexington County man sentenced to 20 years in prison

The 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office announced yesterday that 53-year-old Michael Boyd Harvey II, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison by Circuit Court Judge Debra R. McCaslin for a serious and violent domestic violence assault that occurred in Lexington County on August 26, 2024.

According to the solicitor’s office, Harvey physically assaulted a female victim by punching, kicking, and beating her over an extended period of time causing her to ultimately develop a stroke.

The victim was rushed to Prisma Health Richland Hospital where she remained hospitalized for several months. As a result of the assault, the victim sustained massive bruising and swelling to her face, head, neck, chest, and about her body. Four fingers on her right hand were partially amputated and her left arm is now paralyzed…
