The 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office announced yesterday that 53-year-old Michael Boyd Harvey II, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison by Circuit Court Judge Debra R. McCaslin for a serious and violent domestic violence assault that occurred in Lexington County on August 26, 2024.
According to the solicitor’s office, Harvey physically assaulted a female victim by punching, kicking, and beating her over an extended period of time causing her to ultimately develop a stroke.
The victim was rushed to Prisma Health Richland Hospital where she remained hospitalized for several months. As a result of the assault, the victim sustained massive bruising and swelling to her face, head, neck, chest, and about her body.
