COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — Mayor Daniel Rickenmann is set to sign a Hunger Action Month proclamation during the 2025 Agency Symposium hosted by Harvest Hope Food Bank on Thursday, highlighting the city’s commitment to fighting food insecurity.
The proclamation says that 14.4% of households in South Carolina face hunger, including one in six children.
In Richland County, 48,470 residents are food insecure.
