RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Richland County is moving ahead with a $4 million initiative aimed at expanding affordable housing options and supporting first-time homebuyers, including teachers and first responders.
The funding, approved during a recent meeting of the county’s Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AD HOD), will be evenly split between two main efforts: $2 million for the construction of new affordable housing and $2 million for down payment assistance.
