South Carolina gas prices drop 3 cents, bucking national trend of rising costs

LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — The average price of gas in South Carolina fell in the past week, dropping 3.0 cents and diverging from a national trend of rising gas prices.

Motorists can expect to see prices falling at about $2.47 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,028 stations in South Carolina.

Gas prices this week are recorded to be 1.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago but 1.3 cents per gallon higher than a year ago…
