One person was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after a fire tore through a home on Sweet Thorne Road, just off Kennerly Road, according to the Columbia-Richland Fire Department.
Crews from Columbia Fire’s 1st Shift, along with the Irmo Fire District, responded around 11:10 a.m. Authorities say firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the property and heavy flames breaking through parts of the roof.
