BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood Town Council voted 4-1 Monday night to call for the release of a video of an incident that happened at the Manor on Thursday, Sept 11. That video was released to The Voice at about 4 p.m., Tuesday.
Because of the length of the footage from the incident, only a portion of the video is posted on The Voice’s Facebook. This is some of what the video shows; the footage does not contain audio.
Michelle Layman, a petite Vietnamese-American woman and wife of the Manor Director Fred Layman III, is shown walking into the Manor pushing her 10-month-old baby daughter in a stroller and disappears down a hallway toward the office of the assistant director. In a later interview with The Voice, she said she was there to drop off a check. She also said that the Manor staff and Mayor Sloan Griffin refused to take the check and told her she could not leave the building without taking it with her.
