Community tip leads to meth trafficking arrests

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — A community tip led investigators with the Lexington County Multiagency Narcotics Enforcement Team to arrest three people in September on drug and weapons charges, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Sammie Green, Wyatt Ryan James and Daidr’ea Torres were charged with trafficking methamphetamine. James and Green were also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

“A tip came in that Sammie Green was going to be in the area on Sept. 16 with a large amount of methamphetamine,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “With help from Cayce police officers, investigators found Green in his vehicle, along with Wyatt Ryan James and Daidr’ea Torres.”…
