UPSTATE, S.C. (WSPA) – The Department of Public Health confirmed an outbreak of measles in the Upstate, totaling eight reported cases.
Measles is highly contagious and poses a risk of spreading quickly in the Upstate, particularly in communities with low vaccination rates.

Symptoms include a facial rash that spreads throughout the body, lasting five to six days. Symptoms followed by the rash include fever, cough, rash, red eyes, and a runny nose.
