Two people were killed in a recent crash that involved a moped and a car, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Midlands residents Tyrone C. Tyler and Audrey Hill died in the Friday morning wreck, Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle said. Tyler, a 55-year-old Orangeburg resident was the moped driver, and Hill, a 70-year-old from the Manning area of Clarendon County, was a passenger on the moped, according to the coroner’s office.
At about 2:25 a.m., Tyler was driving the 2024 JBLC moped south on U.S. 301/Five Chop Road, said Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway of the Highway Patrol.
