Police arrest three at gas station in food stamp fraud

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — The Camden Police Department arrested three people Friday morning after a multi-agency operation at a gas station.

The operation involved the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Social Services Office of Inspector General, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the SC Lottery Commission.

Authorities arrested and charged Samrity Abbott, 41, Vikas Joher, 40, and Sukhvinder Pal, 28, with fraudulent use of food stamps and criminal conspiracy after performing a search warrant at 1024 West DeKalb Street, the Cheap Way Gas Station…
