Anne Frank exhibit on display at the SC State Fair

COLUMBIA, S.C. — For the first time, the Anne Frank Center at the University of South Carolina has brought its traveling Anne Frank exhibit to the SC State Fair. In the Cantey Building, visitors can explore photos and stories that trace Frank’s life during World War II and the Holocaust.

Fairgoers like Kimberly Rivers say the exhibit is a reminder of how recent that history really is.

“It’s been a while since I’ve read her book and her destructive life that she had to live in Germany and all, but I found a lot of interesting facts reading the posters,” Rivers said. “It was sad to hear about when she died, and I read before that if she had known her father had lived, she probably wouldn’t have given up and died.”…
