Two men in South Carolina recently learned that lesson the hard (and hilarious) way after they decided to relive their mischievous childhood days, not realizing their “victims” were literally watching from just a few feet away.
The viral moment, captured on a Ring camera, has quickly become one of the funniest clips to come out of South Carolina in a while. The two men can be seen approaching a random house, snickering and joking as they prepare to pull off the age-old prank. They press the doorbell and take off, except, in their excitement, they totally miss one major detail: the residents are already sitting outside on the porch, watching the whole thing unfold in real time.
“Please enjoy the ring camera footage of these men ding dong ditching us while my roommate and her friends were literally on the porch,” the South Carolina resident captioned the now-viral video. The footage, which has already racked up over 2 million views, shows the men laughing as they make their quick getaway, completely unaware that their audience is right there, holding back laughter of their own.
