COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — A local family and community members gather Saturday morning to honor Julian Keel-Watson’s life during the “Ju’stice Ju Day Balloon Release.”
Columbia police said Keel, who was only 16 years old, was an innocent bystander when he was killed by gunshots between two groups of people fighting outside a restaurant along Colonial Life Boulevard.
Authorities said Keel was leaving a birthday party when he was shot.
Organized by Julian’s Justice, the event remembers children lost to gun violence and inspires change within the community…
