COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A big weather pattern shift is on the way next week with rain chances in the forecast for multiple days.

First Alert Summary
A nice, pleasant forecast prevails across the region for those that have plans through this evening. under a partly cloudy sky, temperatures are expected to dip to the middle 40s by the early morning hours.
While there won’t be as much sunshine Sunday, our weather is still on track to be dry for the rest of the weekend. Clouds will build in from the west through the day out ahead of our next weather-maker. High temperatures tomorrow will run a tad cooler in the upper 60s. Showers will start to spread in late Sunday night.
Have an umbrella ready to go for the start of the new work and school week! A wedge set-up is expected to take place as an upper-level low swings in across the region. This will lead to more clouds, cooler than average temperatures, and higher rain chances. Showers are forecast to become widespread across the Midlands for most of the day Monday. High temperatures will struggle to warm to only the upper 50s in most spots.
Rain chances may taper off a tad Tuesday, but there will likely be areas of rain around through at least mid-week. Drier weather will begin to return through the day Thursday. As of now, next Friday’s forecast for Halloween looks dry and cool with highs in the middle 50s.
