SCDVA, Harvest Hope to host Thanksgiving food drive amid gov’t shutdown

(WPDE) — The South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs’ (SCDVA) is partnering with Harvest Hope Food Bank for the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.

This drive will provide assistance for Veterans and South Carolina residents impacted by the government shutdown, according to Brandon Wilson, director of public information.

“SCDVA and Harvest Hope’s partnership for this community-driven initiative is designed to support Veterans and families in need during the holiday season and ensure that no one goes without access to nutritious meals,” Wilson said in a news release…
