Columbia, SC – A blast of cold air has settled over central South Carolina this morning, bringing gusty winds and freezing temperatures that will impact much of the Midlands through tonight. According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Columbia, a Lake Wind Advisory is in effect through Monday evening, with gusts around 30 mph expected.
Temperatures will struggle to climb out of the 40s this afternoon, running 25–30 degrees colder than Sunday. By tonight, readings will plummet into the 20s, with wind chills dipping into the teens across the region.
