Deputies are investigating after a man was reportedly shot to death in Columbia.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said in a release that deputies responded at about 7 p.m. Nov. 11 to the 1700 block of Nearview Drive in reference to a shooting. That’s just west of Percival Road and Interstate 77 in northeast Columbia.
When deputies arrived, they encountered a man who was unresponsive in front of a home. The man had a gunshot wound to the upper body, the sheriff’s department said. Richland County EMS responded to the home and pronounced the man dead …
