FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A new mobile driving app is set to bring South Carolina’s Revolutionary War history to life across 14 historically significant sites, all tied to General Francis Marion and his band of partisan fighters, known as “Marion’s Men,” the Francis Marion Trail Commission said.
The Francis Marion Trail app offers an immersive experience where history enthusiasts, educators, and travelers alike can visit each site that played a pivotal role in the Southern Campaign of the American Revolution, showcasing guerrilla tactics and the heroism of General Marion, also known as the “Swamp Fox.”
