Parent arrested in connection with Blythewood bonfire shooting

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) has arrested the parent of a teenager who helped organize the Halloween bonfire event in Blythewood that ended with three minors injured by gunfire.

According to RCSD deputies, the bonfire turned violent when gunfire erupted around 10:45 p.m., injuring a 16-year-old girl, a 17-year-old girl, and a 17-year-old boy who were attending the event.
