‘We didn’t move here for this:’ Midlands community sues school district for years of flooding damage

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A 51-home neighborhood has filed a lawsuit against Richland School District One, claiming the district’s now-demolished early learning center construction project has caused routine flooding for nearly two years.

The Creekside Homeowners Association filed suit this week, accusing the district of diverting stormwater from the now-defunct construction site directly into their aging drainage system.
