Upstate woman accused of stealing over $67,000 from nursing home resident

COLUMBIA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced that a Greer woman has been charged with stealing from a nursing home resident.

According to officials, an investigation determined that between Aug. 5, 2024, and Feb. 25, 2025, 47-year-old Jeanna Avery Stronkowsky allegedly exploited her position as power-of-attorney for a vulnerable adult by stealing $67,082.44 from the victim’s bank account for her own personal benefit.
