CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Cabarrus County Schools transportation safety assistant who was reportedly caught in an undercover sting operation in South Carolina is no longer employed by the district.
According to Cabarrus County Schools, “Matthew Wicker was suspended by the district on October 31, 2025, upon notification of an investigation by the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office. His employment with Cabarrus County Schools was terminated on November 13, 2025. Mr. Wicker had been a transportation safety assistant with Cabarrus County Schools since August, 2023.”
