Earthquake rumbles beneath the South Carolina ground early in the morning

For the second time in November, an earthquake was recorded in South Carolina. The latest seismic activity happened in the same part of the Palmetto State as the most recent round of confirmed tremors.

A 1.9 magnitude earthquake was confirmed in the Ladson area at 5:49 a.m. Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. That’s about 20 miles from Charleston.
